The Value of CTMH!

I completed the Twitterpated Workshop over this past week. Wow! The amount of projects I completed for the $40.00(ish) it cost is unbelievable. And, I still have more paper and embellishments left over for a few more cards and maybe even another layout! I have put up some pics. of everything I did...

I love this embelishment from the ribbon that comes with the workshop package. It's the skinny little one that has white stitching. Cut about 6 times the length you want to end up with, and just hold onto one end of the white stitching and pull the chocolate, scrunching it together...

These are the cards from the workshop guide. Here's hoping I can meet some crafty ladies soon here in Airdrie AB. to have an actual card club and make some more of these cuties ;)

Gotta love the value of CTMH! Have a great day ladies :)

Bella's Headboard

...a little about Bella. She is my beautiful daughter who loves everything PINK. She's also kind and gentle with babies(real or plastic), puppies, and her little brother(for the most part :-). She has a strong, stubborn personality that I totally admire. It's a challenge everyday right now, for example in the morning when she won't agree on anything I suggest for her to wear, TO KINDERGARDEN! But I know it will take her to the stars and above when she's grown. She has had a few rooms in her almost 5 years of life and now that we've settled in our new home I am so excited to give her a room to grow in, imagine in, inspire in, and love for a long, long time.

This was Bella's headboard. It really was beautiful. My husband and I found it at an adorable little store in Langley B.C. called http://www.thepassionatehome.com/. It was my first of many visits in the store and immediatly thought of Bella when I saw it. It's constructed out of an old fireplace mantel. How original is that I thought! The thing that bothered me about it from the start was the shades of the colours. The white was too creamy compaired to the Benjamin Moore Cloud White moldings in the room and the pink didn't match either. Also, it had little details in gold and black that we could use with out too. Three years later, two days ago, it got a new paint job and went from this...

close up of the new "SWEET DREAMS"...

to this...
Now it's painted BM Cloud White like the moldings, and the new SWEET DREAMS is a perfectly soft match to the walls Powdered Blush from Behr. Bella loves it and only requests I add some polka-dots, and flowers...we'll see :) Now all we have to do to complete Bella's new room is paint her armoire, closet, and spruce up her chandelier from her last room, my fav. project!

This is Bella(and Polo), ain't she pretty!

Final Touches

These are a few layouts that I FINALLY put the final touches on and can now be added to their albums. They were started before my CTMH days, hense the unfamiliar paper for some of you. I'd love to hear what you think of my art?

I used raw chip board for these letters for a natural, kinda sandy look...

I love buttons, even the cracked one I used here...

This was an idea that I scraplifted from an old scrapbooking mag. Great way to use up the strips leftover after some layout projects...

Cute Cards

Some cute little cards using the Creative Basics paper and idea. The Waxy Flax on the lion and giraffe are adhesed with liquid glass, so easy!

Animal Cookies Workshop

This is the idea in the guide...

I have been all about Animal Cookies the last little while! I know, I know, I should be off and running with the beautiful new Autumn papers and accessories...but I'm a little behind, LOL! This was actually my very first layout using a WOTG guide and I really enjoyed it...how easy is that!! I look forward to finding a group of ladies in my new community to do some more workshops like this one :) Here's my redition of the guides layout...

Animal Cookies

I have never been much into primary colours with my papercrafting...until Animal Cookies!! I love this paper and everything that goes along with it. It's just so darn cute! This card was for a little boy who just turned four and simply reads Happy Birthday from the "Dainty Thoughts" CTMH set. I'm excited to get through the rest of my Animal Cookie paper now and have already started on 3 layouts and cards...to come.

Lamp Shade

This is a project I did on the week-end while we were in between coats of pink paint in my daughters room. It was a hit with my daughter so I'm feeling pretty good about it. It's so easy to transform a borning white shade into a custom piece for any room. I think ribbon is especially great for kids rooms. All I used was my glue gun and the same white paint we used on the wall trim (For the base, it had winnie the pooh on it from her nursery decor). I used up a ton of old ribbon too, that seems to just sit for so long. Now I have an excuse to get some new stuff!! The second picture is showing a cute topiary that previously had a terra cotta pot, now that it's been painted white it matches the decor much better :)

New Baby "Thank you's"

Hi there again...it's been awhile since I last posted anything. I've been patiently waiting for my camera to come back from Future Shop where it's being repaired, but I was encouraged to just post these from my phone camera anyways. So...I made these "Rough Drafts" for my BF. We don't know if baby is a little girl or boy so I needed to come up with something that could go either way. I love these colours(SU-Baja Breeze & Kiwi Kiss) and thought they would be perfect. A touch of pink ribbon is what I'm thinking I'll add if a girl is born. I still need to get a Thank-you stamp that I like...so far I think that "A NOTE OF THANKS" from the SU set Thank You Kindly will look the best. Which one do you like best?

"J" for Jubran

I used the "Key to My Heart" stamp set for my simple "J". I needed something fast to add to my wall when I staged my house for sale. I love the way it turned out and think that it proves that sometimes less is more!

hmmm...

so funny...I have so many pictures saved of rooms that I love and I chose the two that are green and red. I must have Christmas on my mind...which is funny 'cause I just told my husband earlier today that I can't wait to decorate our house for Christmas this year. I do really love these rooms though. But probably shouldn't use such a festive colour scheme in my own space.

Craft Room Idea's...

This would be my dream craft room!! I found this picture browsing Pottery Barn(my favorite source for inspiration!) I love it! I just love it!! I wish I had the space for this... My favorite thing about this room is how bright it is and I can imagine how nice it would be to have 4, 5 or more projects layed out all at once and actually be able to see them all.

Craft Room Idea's...

We've been in our new home now for about a month and there's so much I want to do...change. I could love something that was in this home when someone else lived here but now that it's mine I have this urge to just change everything! This is one of the reasons we chose the house we did. I have a problem tearing out cupboards, walls, flooring in a new house even if they wern't my style 'cause there NEW! But this house, needs it anyhow. I've always thought it would be an amazing experience to completely renovate a house...hears my chance and I'm looking forward to it!
I finally get my very own craft room, yeah!! Now it's pretty small...but I'm still really excited:) I don't remember how I happened across this pic. It was a little while ago but I think it's pretty cute. I love the fresh green colour and I definately want to put some words of "inspiration" on my walls too.

I miss my camera...

Well, I have been dying to snap some shots of some new things that I have been working on...but I can't. My camera is at Future Shop being checked out. It's been clicking funny and just doesn't seem up to par...thinkin' it's been dropped one too many times without me knowing??? Anyhooo, I really need some feedback on some cute baby thank-you's I'm making up. I'm in a jam because we don't know if babies a girl or a boy and I just need them to be perfect. I will get them up ASAP and I'd love some feedback. In the mean time I thought I'd post a few pics. of another project I've been working on...

Mother's Day Card

I thought better late then never...This is the only other card from my file I can find right now and I wanted to show it because it's all CTMH. The butterfly is from the March Stamp Of The Month "Butterfly Wings", the "M" is from the Baroque Alphabet. The colours I used are Smokey Plum and Petal. My Mom loved her little gift of bath salt cubes that I originally purchased from Chintz but repackaged to be matchy, matchy!

"You Grow Girl"

Birthday Card

Cards

Well...I have been searching and searching for all my images of things I've created since the move and finally found a few. They happen to be some of my favorites to date. One thing though....they're not made with CTMH supplies, OUCH!

The first one was made for a friends b-day. I wanted to try a tissue paper technique that I found but couldn't find my tissue paper anywhere(due to the moving situation), so I decided to use a piece of toilet paper. I stamped my images, scrunched it and then adhered it to a piece of white card stock. It gave the card a softer textured result compared to what the tissue paper what have done I thought. I also used my handy cuddlebug to give some scrolled texture in the background. The next card I made for my BFF who's expecting. I bought the stamp from Michaels along time ago because it was too cute but haven't been able to use until now. The inside of the card reads "You Grow Girl" and I gave it to my BFF at her twenty week point right after her ultrasound just because I love her!

Jeanette Lynton!

This is Jeanette Lynton and I at this past Springs CTMH Regional Celebration in Calgary AB. It was an inspiration listening to her speak about her company and an honor to meet her.

Janelle, Nancy, and I

This is Janelle, Nancy Klein, and I at the Reginal Celebration this past Spring.

Close to My Heart

I have been a Close To My Heart consultant since this past winter. It has been a very great experience for me and a big part of my inspiration to start a blog...even if it took 4 months to really start it!
This post is dedicated to Janelle, my very inspirational, creative, trusted friend and partner for "our" CTMH business. We began our venture with big dreams of sharing our same passion for creating anything pretty out of paper with as many people as possible. We got to work right away and by January we had our very first Card Club. Shortly after we had began I got the news that we would be relocating to another area of AB. for my hubby's career. Janelle stepped up and has been creating, coaching, hosting, and more basically on her own for the last few months while I have been settling my family into our new abode, 3 hours away. I miss you very much Janelle, and today only validified it even more after you and the fam. left from our visit-What will I do without you two doors down?

Believe!

Believe! Believe!! Believe!! That's it...Just Believe!!!

-I will always show love to my family
-I will always be a devoted Wife
-I will always be a devoted Mom
-I will run an organized household
-I will have a successful business
-I will make people smile everyday
-I will be satisfied with my life as long as I am true to myself
-I will, I will, I will.

Love you,
Cindy:)

This is something that I sent to myself via email and update to "unread" before logging out of my account each day. So, each time I log back in it's a new email waiting to be read and inspire! I plan on spending more time here and so thought it would be a nice addition. I hope it might inspire someone to do the same for themselves:)

Coach Bag

I finally figured out how to add a post with pic. I decided to add this bag that's been on my mind for while...
